Angela Ragusa, co-director of Iron Mountain Studio, is a writer and translator of books for young readers and is also considered Italy’s foremost translator of children’s books winning both national and international awards. In 1993 she won the Andersen-Baia delle Favole Prize as “Best Children’s Book Translator of the year." In 2004 the International Board on Books for Young People awarded and inscribed her on the IBBY honor list as the Best Translator of Children's Books into Italian. She has translated over 200 books and has taught a graduate level course on translating children’s literature. Angela and BillHer laurea is in Political Sciences from the Università di Firenze "Cesare Alfieri" with specialization in International History. She has been an editor, and as chief editor ran the Florence, Italy, office of a national book publisher. William James Woolf, co-director of Iron Mountain Studio, is a landscape painter and photographer. He has taught landscape painting, digital photography, drawing, and web design, and Photoshop, among many other subjects, in both the United States and Italy. He was the Dean of Students of an art institute in Florence, Italy, before moving to Sardinia. He studied art at both The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, as well as receiving an M.F.A. in Studio Art from Florida State University. Bill teaches Plein Air Landscape Painting in Sardinia workshops and Digital Photography in Sardinia workshops several times a year in Santu Lussurgiu.
